It is now time to begin the process for several regions to elect a member and alternate to serve on the 2025-2026 Texas REALTORS® Credentials Committee.
Regions with a Texas REALTORS® Credentials Committee member and alternate that have terms expiring in 2024 shall elect individuals to fill a two-year term beginning December 1, 2024. For those regions that have members and alternates with terms expiring in 2025, it is not necessary to do anything at this time.
Regions 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11, and 14 will each be electing one member and one alternate to serve on the 2025-2026 Credentials Committee.
These Regions should hold elections and submit the names of the elected members and alternates to Texas REALTORS® no later than August 19, 2024. Please remember that only Texas REALTORS® directors are eligible to vote.
Facilitating these elections is the responsibility of the Regional Vice President(s) in each region. Some best practices are to reach out to each local association executive in your region to make them aware that there is a vacancy to be filled and find out if they would like to submit a candidate. Once you have set a deadline for receipt of candidates, you will notify the Texas REALTORS® Directors in the region and set a deadline for them to cast their vote.
The methodology is up to you for conducting the election, but if your region would like assistance conducting the election through SurveyMonkey, please reach out to Mike Barnett, Executive Vice President.
The following documents will assist you in the election of your region’s Texas REALTORS® Nominating Committee representatives.
