Who should be at October Leadership Summit and what is covered?

The October meeting is a little confusing because it is not only our annual TREPAC and Governmental Affairs Orientation during the first day and a half, but the Texas REALTORS®' Leadership Summit for the second day and a half. Why is it structured that way? Mostly because of the tremendous overlap in attendees for both events, it just makes sense to hold them together instead of creating two separate travel obligations. But it does cause some confusion.

For this group though, here's what you need to know:

  • The budget provides a room night (Thursday, October 24) for anyone who will be an RVP in 2025 (continuing current members and those incoming for 2025) to attend the Leadership Summit portion of the meetings. It does not cover those with terms expiring this year and your service as an RVP is coming to a conclusion and it does not cover Appointees. Why? The objective is for RVP's to have the opportunity to further develop relationships with next year's leadership from associations in your regions who will be there for Leadership Summit.

  • It is not a mandatory meeting. It is recommended and a great opportunity to make relationships and set the stage for 2025.

  • You received an email to register for the meeting. The email included a discount code. Please use that code in order to not be charged for the night of 10/24. If you cannot locate that email, please reach out to Sabrina Phelps.

  • Please understand the no-show policy and make sure and ensure that any cancellations are made according to the hotel's cancellation timeline.

Feel free to reach out to Mike Barnett with any questions.
